Campsite or overnight location: Camp at Forney Ridge Campsite

Day 2

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 10 miles, significant descent

Planned route and activity summary: Continue on Forney Creek Trail, exploring the creek's cascading falls.

Campsite or overnight location: CCC Cabin ruins

Day 3

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 12-14 miles, moderate gain

Planned route and activity summary: Traverse deeper into the forest, heading toward Jonas Creek Trail.

Campsite or overnight location: Campsite 70

Day 4

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 10 miles, moderate ascent

Planned route and activity summary: Link to Welch Ridge, then back to the Appalachian Trail.

Campsite or overnight location: Silers Bald Shelter

Day 5

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 10-12 miles, moderate elevation

Planned route and activity summary: Follow the Appalachian Trail back toward Clingmans Dome. Options for return or extend day if needed.
