Day 1

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 8 miles, minimal

Planned route and activity summary: Start at Grand Marais. Hike along the North Country Trail towards Au Sable Light Station. Explore the area.

Campsite or overnight location: Au Sable East Campground

Day 2

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 10 miles, moderate

Planned route and activity summary: Continue past Log Slide Overlook to the Spray Falls area. Excellent lake views.

Campsite or overnight location: Beaver Creek Campground

Day 3

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 7 miles, moderate

Planned route and activity summary: Hike towards Chapel Beach. Explore Chapel Falls and formations.

Campsite or overnight location: Chapel Beach Campground

Day 4

Distance and elevation gain/loss: 9 miles, moderate

Planned route and activity summary: Proceed to Mosquito Beach, continue towards Miners Castle.

Campsite or overnight location: Mosquito River Campground

Day 5

Planned route and activity summary: Complete the hike to Sand Point.

Campsite or overnight location: End at Sand Point, return to Munising.
